Simhanandini and Dance of the Brass Plates – two dances by Annapurna Indian Dance

Don’t miss this extraordinarily beautiful, rare and ancient Indian temple ritual dance performed by renowned British classical Indian dancer,
Abhinandana Kodanda. Simhanandini is a unique form where the dancer sketches a lion while dancing on a white cloth spread over red coloured powder.

Also see a magical act of dancing on the rim of the brass plates with gorgeous young temple dancers in breathtaking authentic costumes.

Features live Mridangam drumming by international percussionist, Pratap Ramachandran.
