Guide to Bradford Forster Square

Directions from train stations

From the Interchange main entrance, come down the hill (BridgeStreet), across the crossing and turn left after City Hall.

From Forster Squarestation, turn right towards the part cobbled walkway (contains smoothish Yorkshire stone paving on each side of cobbles) passing the "Fibres" sculpture. Turn left out onto Cheapside, then second right along Market Street to City Hall.

Please note the cobbled walkway is a steep gradient that might not be suitable for some manual wheelchair users.  There is an alternative route left of the "Fibres" sculpture that has a flat gradient and passes along the lowerside of the Midland Hotel.  At the end turn right along Market St towards City Hall.

From both stations, City Parkcan be reached in less than 10 minutes by foot.

By Bus

In descending order of frequency, the 3 main bus providers operating in Bradford district are:

Please note - as part of the commitment to providing accessible travel for wheelchair users virtually all buses have a dedicated area for wheelchair users; other passengers are asked to give up the space for wheelchairs.

Access Bus

The buses are all low floor, easy access minibuses fitted with the most up-to-date safety equipment.

Passengers wishing to travel must register with Metro's booking service, who will advise on the availability of the service in their area. If a space is free, passengers may reserve their place on that trip on an ongoing.
